We Wish You a Merry Christmas

The school orchestra played well for the final assembly of 2017, despite being a few players short. We had a festive repertoire of music with everyone joining in with 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' at the end. Thank you for coming!

Christmas Nativity Play

Wonderful singing and performance by Class 1 and R. Thank you to all parents and carers that were able to make it despite the rescheduling, due to the exceptional snowy circumstances.

Christmas play rescheduled

The Christmas play is now due to be performed at 9.30am on Thursday 14th December. We hope you can join us. The FoSS Christmas lunch and party will go ahead as planned on Thursday.

Mud Kitchen for Reception

Christmas Trees

Christmas trees will be on sale on Saturday 2nd December in Norton Canon with the school receiving 50% of the proceeds. There will also be mulled wine and mince pies available so come and pick, or dig, your tree and help support the school.

Judaism Celebration Afternoon

We will be welcoming a member of the Jewish Reform Synagogue, Cardiff, to school on Tuesday 21st November.  The children in Key Stage 1 and 2 will take part in a series of workshop activities, throughout the afternoon, related to the Jewish faith.

Film Night Success

The first FoSS film night was a great success raising £148. Thank you to Cheryl and her team for the food and supervision. The children thoroughly enjoy the night too.

Parent/Carer meetings – 4th December

Parent/Carer meetings have been set for Monday 4th December from 1pm. Children can be picked up at 2pm or stay with the crèche until 3.30pm. Letters are coming home soon.

Class 1 Shropshire Discovery Centre trip.

Dogs Trust Assembly and Workshops

We are looking forward to welcoming a member of the Dogs Trust to school on Monday to deliver an assembly and workshops to the children.  The themes covered will include Senses, Responsible Dog Ownership and Evolution.  Unfortunately they do not bring a real dog!

Winter Games Hi5Netball

A team of Y5 and Y6 pupils will attend a tournament at Weobley High School to compete against other local schools on Wednesday 1st November.  We will leave school at 1pm and return by the end of the school day. Help with transport from parents is still needed.

Football and Netball v Stretton

A team of netball and a team of football players from Y5 and Y6 will compete in their first matches of the year on Thursday 12th October after school.  We will be playing at home and parents are welcome to come and cheer us on.
