We will be welcoming a member of the Jewish Reform Synagogue, Cardiff, to school on Tuesday 21st November. The children in Key Stage 1 and 2 will take part in a series of workshop activities, throughout the afternoon, related to the Jewish faith.
The first FoSS film night was a great success raising £148. Thank you to Cheryl and her team for the food and supervision. The children thoroughly enjoy the night too.
Parent/Carer meetings have been set for Monday 4th December from 1pm. Children can be picked up at 2pm or stay with the crèche until 3.30pm. Letters are coming home soon.

We are looking forward to welcoming a member of the Dogs Trust to school on Monday to deliver an assembly and workshops to the children. The themes covered will include Senses, Responsible Dog Ownership and Evolution. Unfortunately they do not bring a real dog!
A team of Y5 and Y6 pupils will attend a tournament at Weobley High School to compete against other local schools on Wednesday 1st November. We will leave school at 1pm and return by the end of the school day. Help with transport from parents is still needed.
A team of netball and a team of football players from Y5 and Y6 will compete in their first matches of the year on Thursday 12th October after school. We will be playing at home and parents are welcome to come and cheer us on.
Thanks to the sponsorship money from last year's paralympian event and the Sainsbury's vouchers we have just received a massive shipment of new PE equipment to use this year. Mrs Eckley is very excited!
Two teams from Staunton are playing hockey against other schools hosted by Weobley on Wednesday. We wish them enjoyment and luck!

This week Class 2 will be preparing their entries for the Annual Weobley Ploughing Match competition. This year's categories include handwriting and a decorated jam jar. We are hoping to recreate the success we had last year!

The Ice creams made a fantastic £57 today. Thank you all again for your support over the past year, we have raised well over £4000 which will now be spent on many more wonderful things for our children. Thank you FoSS
